Ambivalent’s steady presence in techno over the last 11 years has helped establish him as a credible, reliable voice on underground dancefloors around the world. He’s garnered support from some of the most revered names in the genre, both for his productions and DJ sets. Having released with labels such as Cocoon, Drumcode, Kompakt, Ovum, Plus 8, Minus and his own Valence imprint, he’s developed a broad and loyal following of clubgoers and music fans.

2017 has already been a massive year for the producer with major accolades for his Drumcode hit “Portmanteau” his “Drag” EP on Enemy and a solo EP on his Valence label. This comes after a massive 2016 when he scored a chart-topping techno smasher with “Daylights” on Cocoon, called “the bassline of the year” by Juno and feted by major festival and radio plays from Adam Beyer, Sven Väth, Skream and many more. Ambivalent followed-up with another huge single on Kompakt - “Whyou” getting big scores on Dusky’s Essential Mix, and major plays from Laurent Garnier, Adam Beyer, Michael Mayer and many others.

Simultaneously his LA-4A alias has stormed the sets of tastemakers. His “Panic” EP was a vinyl chart buster, selling out it’s first run quickly. Last year he released a critically-acclaimed album “Phonautograph” which has had a long run in the DJ sets of Ben UFO, Scuba, Bicep and Paul Woolford. The album comes on his own Delft label which has an impressive list of followers and fans including The Black Madonna, Mike Servito, Ben UFO, Erol Alkan, Nina Kravitz, Bicep, Serge (Clone), Josh Wink, Alex Boman, Magda, Scuba and more. Delft vinyls regularly disappear from shelves quickly, prized by DJs and collectors as the label is home to heavyweights such as Alden Tyrell, Matrixxman, JPLS and Conforce alias Vernon Felicity. LA-4A is continuing it’s success this year with remixes on Hotflush, Born Electric and Club Lonely as well as another EP on Resident Advisor’s Label of the Month - Unknown to the Unknown.

Also making waves is his Valence imprint, releasing artists such as ROD, Marco Shuttle, Avalon Emerson, Matrixxman, Goldffinch and Physical Therapy. The label gets continual raves from DJs including Scuba, Truss, Anthony Parasole, Slam.

His DJ sets have recently taken him to some of the best clubs and festivals in the world, including Berghain, Concréte, Output, Village Underground, B My Lake Festival, Freedom Festival, Amsterdam Open Air, and many more.
